PDO Threads
Matrix PDO Mono Threads is an advanced framework for skin rejuvenation. Mono threads are used to tighten and thicken your skin by gradually stimulating natural collagen production. The threads become the support structure for your face, allowing the natural collagen production to take place. You will start to see results 6 weeks after your treatment and the results will continue to improve over the next 2-6 months. The threads slowly dissolve over time, however you’ll continue to see results for up to 12 months.

This treatment is not suitable for clients who are prone to keloid scars.
Mono threads differ from thread lifts which use long barbed threads to lift tissues. Mono threads are smooth and made without barbs which are minimally invasive. Mono Threads can be inserted into the skin in a mesh-like pattern to achieve maximum tightening effects. Additionally, Mono threads can still provide an improvement of fine lines and wrinkles by gradually stimulating natural collagen production.
How to prepare for your appointment:
A consultation is required before the treatment with Mono Threads can go ahead. This will determine if this treatment is suitable to you and whether or not Mono Threads are the best treatment to achieve the results you are after.
Once a treatment date is decided, we recommend stopping the use of any blood-thinning medications or supplements at least 1 week before your appointment. This reduces the risk of excessive bleeding or bruising. Medications to avoid include:
- Ibuprofen
- Omega-3
- Garlic supplements
- Motrin
- Aspirin
We also recommend choosing an appointment time and date that will allow the appropriate downtime before any special events.
Please do not stop any medication that is required for medical reasons. Please contact your GP prior to stopping any medication.
