Skin Boosters

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Until recently, we have presented extensive information about the various non-surgical aesthetic medical treatments on our website. Our motivation was to inform any potential client or persons interested on what the treatments entail, and what they may expect from those treatments. The benefits and the risks to having these treatments is always discussed in an in-person consultation with the qualified practitioner. The information on our website did also include how to prepare for the treatment and also important steps to take afterwards.

As a result of the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) updating its guidance on the advertising of cosmetic injectables, we have removed all information about cosmetic injectables that use prescription only medications from all of our publicly available channels including this website and our social media platforms.

Any treatments that we offer that do not rely upon a prescription only medication in order to achieve their results are not affected by the TGA announcement, so we will continue to publish information about these treatments.

When you come in for your consultation with us, we will provide a thorough assessment of your unique features and work with you to educate you about a bespoke range of possible treatment plans (as we have always done). When discussing these options, we will be able to answer any specific questions about any of the treatments that we provide – including a discussion of treatments requiring prescription-only medications that are not discussed on our website

Skin Boosters – Define Aesthetics Mandurah, WA

Skin booster treatments are minimally invasive cosmetic procedures designed to support skin hydration and improve the appearance of skin quality. At Define Aesthetics in Mandurah, WA, skin boosters are offered as part of individualised treatment plans tailored to your unique skin concerns and goals.

Skin boosters are delivered into the superficial layers of the skin and are intended to support hydration and skin health from within. This may assist in improving the appearance of skin that looks dehydrated, uneven in texture, or lacking in suppleness.

At Define Aesthetics, all cosmetic treatments are subject to a comprehensive consultation and clinical assessment with a qualified health practitioner. Treatment suitability is determined on an individual basis in accordance with AHPRA guidelines and Australian regulatory standards.

Skin booster treatments may be considered to help support the appearance of:

  • Skin hydration
  • Skin texture
  • Fine lines associated with skin dehydration
  • Overall skin smoothness and radiance

Treatment outcomes vary between individuals, and results cannot be guaranteed. A series of treatments may be recommended depending on your skin condition and treatment goals, with ongoing maintenance discussed during your consultation.

All procedures carry potential risks and side effects, which will be discussed with you prior to treatment to ensure informed decision-making. Your safety, suitability, and consent are central to every treatment provided at Define Aesthetics.

If you are considering skin booster treatments in Mandurah, WA, we invite you to book a consultation with our experienced team to determine whether this treatment is appropriate for you.

How to prepare for your appointment?

Taking certain precautions prior to your appointment can assist with the expected side effects and downtime associated with the treatment. It can also give you the best chance for optimal results from your treatment. As a result, we recommend the following:

  • Stop medications including Aspirin, Fish Oil and Ibuprofen 7 days prior to your appointment. Please always check with your GP prior to stopping these medications.
  • Avoid using skincare with active ingredients such as retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and Vitamin C 2 days pre-treatment.
  • Avoid heavy alcohol consumption 24 hours prior.
  • You may choose to take Arnica at least 2 days advance of your appointment to assist with bruising and swelling.
  • Please allow for bruising and swelling when choosing an appointment date – please allow the appropriate down time before any special events.
Treatment Cost

The overall treatment cost will depend on the number of units required to achieve your desired results. The amount will vary according to the needs of each individual, however our experienced team will be able to give you an accurate quote prior to treatment.
