Factor 4

Factor 4 is similar to Platelet Rich Plasma treatment but it is a more refined and targeted and offers a natural alternative to cosmetic surgery, or other injectable options. Factor 4 produces up to 4 times more growth factors that other Platelet Rich Plasma treatments. The result is a brighter and healthier looking complexion and younger looking skin.

How does Factor 4 work?

A sample of your blood is taken and incubated. After 6 – 9 hours of incubation, the red blood cells and removed from the plasma. The end result is your individual Factor 4 serum which includes your own growth factors which will stimulate collagen production. This serum can be used immediately or stored for future sessions. The serum is then injected into the area of concern. This stimulates your collagen and results in improved elasticity, and a slowing of the aging process.

How many treatments are required?

The number if treatments recommended will differ between patients however usually 3-4 treatments about 2 weeks apart are required to achieve the best results.

How to Prepare for your appointment:

Taking certain precautions prior to your appointment can assist with the expected side affects and downtime associated with the treatment. It can also give you the best chance for optimal results from your treatment. As a result, we recommend the following:

  • Stop medications including Aspirin, Fish Oil and Ibuprofen 7 days prior to your appointment. Please always check with your GP prior to stopping these medications.
  • Avoid using skincare with active ingredients such as retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and Vitamin C 2 days pre-treatment.
  • Avoid heavy alcohol consumption 24 hours prior.
  • You may choose to take Arnica in at least 2 days advance of your appointment to assist with bruising and swelling.
